Climate Change Specialist

The Climate Change Specialist will be responsible for:

• Identification of key challenges for adaptation of landscapes and settlements to climate change within the South Moravian Region
• Cooperation in project preparation, including project applications
• Communication with key stakeholders (regional self-government, municipalities, academic and non-profit sphere, etc. )
• Supporting public administration in the implementation of projects
• Providing professional background for projects
• Developing agency services focused on municipalities
• Preparing documents for communication activities and negotiations with representatives of regional self-government, municipalities, central state authorities, and other partners

From the Climate Change Specialist, we need:

• Education in a field focused on landscape, environment, urban planning or agriculture, or adequate work experience
• Knowledge of the Climate Action Plan of the South Moravian Region https://jinag.eu/en/climate-action-plan-of-the-south-moravian-region
• Orientation in the field of climate change adaptation and key issues (landscape, drought, soil, forests, heat islands, blue-green infrastructure, etc. )
• Knowledge of legislation relating to landscape and nature conservation, landscape management, and spatial planning
• Presentation and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of the territory of the South Moravian Region

Which will make us happy:

• Experience with international projects (Interreg, LIFE, Horizon, etc.)
• Participation in specific projects focused on climate change adaptation or spatial planning
• Knowledge of the public administration, non-profit, and academic sector
• Orientation in the field of circular economy or other areas addressed in the Climate Action Plan (mobility, energy, EVVO)
