ASOCIATION DAY 2025 - The roots that unite us

Together, we experienced the second annual Association Day—not just a celebration of folklore and traditions. It was first and foremost a meeting of people who are committed to improving the face of their region. Active citizens are the basis of a functioning society, and associations, whether small or large, play a key role. They sustain community life, connect generations, nurture cultural heritage, and find new ways to bring traditions closer to today.

This year's event focused on the changes of folk culture and folklore, their function in the 21st century, and the relationship of the young generation to traditions in the Czech and Slovak environment. A key theme was the possibilities of cross-border cooperation between the Czech Republic and Slovakia and the identification of obstacles to it. The event thus not only connected civil society actors but also promoted sustainability and innovation in the field of traditional culture.

The Association Day 2025 brought new perspectives on traditions through the eyes of the young generation, and opened up space for sharing stories, promoting cooperation, intercultural dialogue, and inspiration for further joint actions. It offered the opportunity to engage in diverse workshops and opened the way for deeper connections between citizens and public administration.
