Seminar: Spatial planning as a tool for addressing climate challenges

SEMINAR PROGRAM:

  • Presentation of the project, Green Circle, and lecturers 
  • Land-use planning and adaptation to climate change – theoretical and practical introduction to the issue 
  • Legal aspects – how to prevent disputes and defend good solutions in court
The aim of the seminar is to strengthen practical knowledge of how spatial planning can address climate challenges. It also focuses on linking municipal climate plans with municipal spatial and regulatory plans. Lawyers will advise participants on avoiding legal disputes over the content of spatial plans. Participants will receive presentations and links to additional professional materials.

The seminar will be led by experienced lecturers

  • Doc. Ing. arch. Veronika Šindlerová, Ph.D., an urban planner specializing in spatial, transport, landscape, and regional planning with extensive experience in creating spatial plans and spatial studies for municipalities and regions, and
  • JUDr. Petra Humlíčková, Ph.D., lawyer and member of the Department of Environmental Law at the Faculty of Law of Charles University, specializing in environmental law.
The seminar is organized by Zelený kruh in cooperation with the JINAG agency and offers practical knowledge and inspiration for public administration employees, local government representatives, experts in the field of spatial planning, environmental protection, and regional development, as well as active citizens.
 
The seminar is designed to be interactive—questions and comments from participants are welcome.
