IT DOESN'T HAVE TO RAIN, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT DRIPS

Rising average temperatures, long-term drought, extreme weather events and soil erosion are negatively affecting the lives of residents and the economic stability of the region. In response to these challenges, the county decided to develop a Climate Action Plan (CAP) to prevent the negative impacts of climate change and strengthen the county's resilience.

An essential part of KAP preparation is the involvement of public and private "stakeholders". Therefore, in addition to the work of experts in expert groups, we are organising a series of meetings of representatives of municipalities, entrepreneurs, farmers, educational institutions or non-profit organisations and young people whose opinions and needs will be crucial for the effectiveness of the KAP. In addition, the meetings encourage cooperation and the establishment of new partnerships. On Friday 17 May, the third meeting took place and it was held at the Impact Hub.

Stakeholders comment and discuss with experts the goals and priorities proposed by the experts. Their feedback will then be incorporated into the final goals and actions in the areas of energy, mobility, circular economy, landscape and settlements, processes and awareness.

We are proud that the South Moravian Regional Council has entrusted the coordination and preparation of the KAP to us! The SouthMoravianRegion will take possession of the final draft of the KAP during the summer.
