IF YOU GIVE A MAN A FISH, YOU FEED HIM FOR A DAY; IF YOU TEACH HIM TO FISH, YOU GIVE HIM FOOD FOR A LIFETIME

The Wise Network helps seniors use modern technology safely and connects seniors with digital assistants. It organises seminars or lectures and offers individual help to seniors through a digital assistant. The assistance takes place at a pre-arranged location or at the senior's place of residence.
At JINAG, we help connect the Wise Network with representatives of towns and villages, schools and important organisations within the South Moravian Region, so that together we can create the largest possible network of digital assistants. Our common goal is to engage 50 to 100 digital assistants in the South Moravian Region.

On Wednesday 23rd April we presented our activities within the Health Day in Slavkov u Brna. Seniors could get advice on the spot with their problems with the use of smartphones.

On Thursday 24th April we presented the project of the Digital Assistants Network in Moravské Krumlov. First, at a meeting with institutions, which was attended by representatives of the town of Moravský Krumlov, Kolping family, Home for the elderly Skalice. Subsequently, we talked about the possibility of becoming a digital assistant with students of Krumlov secondary schools - the Secondary School of Transport, Trade and Services Moravský Krumlov - ssmk.eu, specializing in social work, and the Gymnasium Moravský Krumlov (mkgym.cz).

The aim was to activate the institutions in cooperation and also to name a future stakeholder in the territory who could coordinate the project in the territory. We ended the afternoon with a seminar for seniors with the possibility of solving individual questions.

On Thursday, 25th April, we visited the Secondary School of Informatics, Postal and Finance Brno for an afternoon with seniors. Digital assistants, this time from among the students themselves, once again offered advice to the participating seniors, who attended the event in record numbers. The event was held in cooperation with the Jiri Mahen Library in Brno, the Secondary School of Informatics, Postal Administration and Finance Brno and the Association of Libraries of the Czech Republic.

Are you interested in becoming a digital assistant?

Are you a senior citizen or do you know a senior citizen who does not know how to use a computer or a smartphone?

Are you an institution that is organizing an interesting event at which we could present ourselves?

Or are you yourself considering offering such assistance in your community and don't know how to go about it?
