Ratiboř is one of the pilot municipalities actively involved in tackling the issue of urban heat islands. A bioclimatic bus stop has been constructed in the municipality, which cools the air while also irrigating the surrounding greenery. Thanks to its innovations and community work, Ratiboř has been awarded the prestigious title of Green Municipality of the Year 2025. Additionally, it has its own weather stations that provide accurate climate data for informed decision-making.
Discover specific solutions that show how a smart approach improves life in municipalities even during heat waves.
The BeReady project is co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg Danube Region program.
