How to effectively combat heat waves and overheating in towns? Come to Ratiboř for inspiration
Heatwaves and overheating in cities are among the greatest climate challenges of our time. How can we effectively combat them? Come and see specific solutions that are already working in practice. We invite representatives of towns and municipalities in the South Moravian Region to an excursion to Ratiboř in the Zlín Region, where innovative measures against overheating in public spaces are being tested as part of the BeReady project.

Ratiboř is one of the pilot municipalities actively involved in tackling the issue of urban heat islands. A bioclimatic bus stop has been constructed in the municipality, which cools the air while also irrigating the surrounding greenery. Thanks to its innovations and community work, Ratiboř has been awarded the prestigious title of Green Municipality of the Year 2025. Additionally, it has its own weather stations that provide accurate climate data for informed decision-making.
