The South Moravian Region is actively addressing the problems of socio-economically endangered regions that are becoming depopulated and demand affordable housing. Grant titles are intended to support both housing and business. The development of housing and infrastructure represents a significant challenge for municipalities. Mayors of smaller municipalities often lack the expertise and financial resources needed to prepare land for investment development.
Therefore, JINAG cooperates with the State Fund for Investment Support, which aims to expand and improve the housing stock, support the infrastructure of affordable rental housing, and increase the capacity of municipalities not only in the South Moravian Region but also throughout the Czech Republic. SFPI provides comprehensive consulting, information, and educational services to municipalities and non-profit organizations. It offers expert advice in project management, implementation, and strategic investment planning, financial modeling, and project financing, as well as technology design and construction solutions with an emphasis on efficiency and sustainability.
The OBEC&INVESTOR conference at the Building Fair in Brno brought the distant worlds of mayors and investors together. Its goal was to connect visions and investment opportunities in the South Moravian Region. Mayors and developers met to establish cooperation for municipal development. Mayors from Lomnička, Moravský Krumlov, Břeclav, Kyjov, Nechvalín, Pohořelice, and Horní Dunajovice presented their development areas and plans, offering investment opportunities to developers. Developers shared their experiences and best practices from other municipalities.
The conference offered municipalities valuable tips on how to cooperate effectively with investors, involve citizens in development, link development with the private sector, and use the investment areas prepared.
