Helping communities focus on JINAG energy

One table, dozens of municipalities. We introduced the emerging enerdom to the energy subsidy programme. At the Brno University of Technology, a programme for the establishment of energy communities was launched.

Efficiency and economy. These qualities unite the energy homes that can be created with the help of a new programme of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic. A total of 35 guests attended the round table to discuss the possibilities of getting involved and how to use the funds for energy savings. Similar activities are essential for our planet.

We are currently using more resources than our Earth is capable of producing. We have been operating on green debt since 12 April 2023. Qatar was the first to waste natural resources this year, but a European country - Luxembourg - is also in the top five negative. To sustain our planet for generations to come, we need to adjust consumption towards green energy.

Earth Overshoot Day is calculated by the international research organisation Global Footprint Network. It calculates it by dividing the planet's biocapacity (the amount of ecological resources the Earth can produce in a given year) by humanity's ecological footprint (humanity's demand in a given year) and multiplying by 365, the number of days in a year.

The roundtable is organized within the project "Feasibility study: community energy in the City of Židlochovice, Czech Republic" supported by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt.
