Help us map cycling measures in the South Moravian Region
More and more cycle routes are being created in the South Moravian Region, which is a positive trend. However, important supporting measures that would ensure greater safety and comfort for cyclists are often lacking—for example, bike racks, shelters, rest areas, signage, and safe crossings. Yet it is precisely this accompanying infrastructure that determines whether people use bicycles as a regular means of transport. Another problem is that when planning the development of cycling infrastructure, there is no comprehensive overview of what already exists and what is missing. That is why, as part of the Cool Region project, we are mapping existing and proposed cycling measures. In this way, we are expanding the South Moravian Region's database to understand the needs of cyclists better and support sustainable mobility planning.
