Practical Solutions in the Field

The program will showcase specific measures to mitigate so-called heat islands. Participants can look forward to, for example:
  • a presentation of an innovative bus stop with cooling elements,
  • a sharing of experiences from a small municipality involved in an international project,
  • an overview of services and tools that assist in designing adaptation measures.

Informal opening, introductions

10:30 – 11:15 | Ratiboř as a smart and resilient community

11:15–12:00 | Lunch and informal networking

12:15 – 12:30 | Bioclimatic bus stop: small measures with a big impact
Field visit to a bus stop featuring a green roof, a water system, and adiabatic cooling. A practical demonstration of how the solution works, including the preparation, installation, operation, and testing processes. (Mayor of Ratiboř and a representative of the contractor Fairteco)
