Education of seniors was taken up by the students themselves

For over a year now, we have been increasing the digital literacy of seniors in the South Moravian Region through a network of digital assistants. These assistants are mostly students who help them use smart devices. Regular educational seminars organized by the Wise Network are also part of the older generation's education in digital technologies.

Their activities also inspired the Technical and Gastronomic High School in Blansko. The intergenerational meeting was held on 16 December 2024, and the participants could learn, for example, how to use the Ambulance app in emergencies, how to install new apps, what a Google account is for, how to easily find traffic connections on a mobile phone or how to use new validators when traveling by train.

The Wise Network project in the South Moravian Region is becoming a real example of intergenerational cooperation. It not only improves the digital literacy of the elderly but has also managed to mobilize the younger generation to take the initiative to make changes in society.
