ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY AS A HOME CARE ASSISTANT

Our aim is to spread awareness of assistive technology and its use by people with reduced independence who wish to remain at home among carers and professional services. The vision is for assistive technology to be accessible to a wide range of users and become a mainstream part of social and health services.

Therefore, we are now developing an information environment that will be friendly to the public and professional and informal carers. In September, we will be focusing on assistive technologies as part of a popularization event called At Home is at Home, where it will be possible to try out various smart solutions literally for yourself.

To achieve these goals, we involve stakeholders who already provide services or have something to contribute to the topic. That's why we held a joint meeting this week with representatives from universities, social service providers and other experts. We thank all participants for their active involvement and discussion - Girasole, z.s., Guardian Angel, z.ú. , Counselling as an Elephant, Institute of Biomedical Engineering, BUT, South Moravian Region, Department of Social Affairs, Brno City Council, Department of Social Welfare, Generation Care z.ú., Silesian Diakonie - Section Brno, Diakonie ČCE, MENDELU.

Together we want to work on supporting services in the home environment and minimizing social and digital exclusion. It is possible.
