On February 25, Innovative Actions Call 4, a call for proposals for project funding announced under the European Urban Initiative (EUI), will open. The aim of the call is to support cities and urban areas in testing new and innovative solutions, for example, in social inclusion, climate, mobility, or sustainable development, that improve residents' quality of life.
The European Urban Initiative (EUI) is a European program that supports innovative and sustainable approaches in cities. The program allows cities to experiment with new ideas, collaborate across local partners, and receive funding of up to €2 million for pilot projects with the potential for long-term impact. The EUI focuses primarily on social inclusion, climate, mobility, affordable housing, safety, and innovation.
Who can participate?
The call is open to cities or groups of 2-3 cities and municipalities with a minimum population of 25,000. Together with local partners, you can develop a new approach and implement changes directly in your area. The call is primarily aimed at small and medium-sized cities that want to experiment with innovative solutions and are accustomed to collaborating across the urban ecosystem.
