The aim of today's meeting of scientists from the National Institute SYRI, the South Moravian Agency for Public Innovation JINAG, the Technology Centre Prague and other organisations was to link activities between experts from different fields. The different SYRI research groups presented the breadth of their scope.
"We commit to public policies. The DNA of the project is the knowledge that science must not only be cutting-edge, but it is great if it is also practical and gets into the hands of someone who can use our findings in their decision-making," explained Klára Šeďová, SYRI's scientific director, at the beginning. For example, she cited expert conferences in the Senate, the Chamber of Deputies and elsewhere.
She mentioned the advantages of SYRI as a virtual hub that connects scientists from Masaryk University, Charles University and the Academy of Sciences. In addition to cutting-edge science and the desire to push its findings towards the decimation sphere, she said SYRI has another commitment: to communicate the results of its work to the public through the media. "We try to systematically disseminate what we are working on; it is a logical commitment," Šeďová said.
The South Moravian Region founded JINAG. The agency connects public administration, university space, and the commercial environment. "Our main mission is to bring new trends and innovations to the public sector," said Eva Nečasová from JINAG at today's meeting.
