GreenGov project will help local government representatives with effective green financing

As partners of the GreenGov project focused on green finance, we participated in the second workshop in Craiova, Romania, on 26 and 27 November 2024. The event was opened by the RDA's Deputy Director General Marius Varigatu and was organised by the Regional Development Agency of the South-West Oltenie.

At the meeting with partners, we continued to share experiences and best practices on the DNSH principle, ensuring that projects financed by the funds do not significantly impact the environment. We also focused on infrastructure resilience to climate change (climate proofing).

The GreenGov project aims to create a practical guide to help local public authorities adapt their strategies and sustainably fund their projects. By joining the project, we can draw inspiration from partners across Europe.

The next meeting with partners will occur in Milan, Italy, in early summer 2025.

The GreenGov project is funded by the Interreg Europe programme.
