PARTICAFFE 2. MODULE: COMMUNICATION AND PARTICIPATION IN THE MAIN ROLE
The second module of the Particafé training and education programme is over! This time, we welcomed our amazing guest, Eva Fruhwirth, who delved into the key topic with our mayors: COMMUNICATION and PARTICIPATION.
Because participation lives from communication! Through open dialogue with citizens, the mayor receives valuable input and strong support for the municipality's development. In turn, citizens get a real chance to influence the direction their home takes. Without quality, two-way communication, participation is an empty shell.
At Particaffe, we discussed:
- developing communication skills
- developing the ability to work with difficult participants
- marketing strategies, projects
- participatory processes in online and offline environments
During the meeting, we also focused on communication pitfalls and looked for ways to prevent and successfully address them. Because, as it was said, "You can't change people, you can't motivate them, you can only inspire them."
