TO SCHOOL SAFELY AND WITHOUT A PROBLEM? IT IS POSSIBLE.
We can probably agree that the elderly and children are among the most vulnerable groups. We have focused on children in our Safe to School project in the South Moravian Region. We were inspired to create this project by the organisation "Walking through the city," which shared its know-how with us.
The pilot phase of the project involved children and teachers from the Kindergarten, Primary School, and Practical School in Boskovice. The children, together with our mobility specialist, Jan Tichý, and a traffic engineer, went out into the streets around the school to help map the traffic situation and potentially dangerous places. The results of the mapping will then be used in a study to improve the safety of children on their way to school.
At JINAG, we believe that improving child safety should be a shared goal not only for parents but also for the wider community – schools, local authorities, and politicians.
