Data, AI, and SMART Solutions for Municipalities: CESMOD Brings Innovation to Life
Methodologies, data tools, educational programs, and other practical resources that will help cities, municipalities, and regions effectively implement SMART solutions. All of this is provided by CESMOD—the Research Center for a Resilient, SMART, Innovative, and Sustainable Society—of which we are a proud partner.
Last week in Brno, we met with other representatives from partner institutions—including universities, research organizations, innovation centers, public administration bodies, and the project’s application partners—to evaluate the project’s progress to date, coordinate individual activities, and jointly set the future direction of key outputs for cities, municipalities, and regions:

preparation of the SMART Academy for training mayors, municipal officials, and innovation brokers,

an interactive map of examples of best practices,

tools utilizing data and AI to support municipal decision-making,
-
a methodology for cooperation among municipalities,
-
the use of data from research, CAWI surveys, and other sources for the development of cities and regions,
The meeting also included a joint reflection on the project and a discussion on how to ensure that all emerging tools and methodologies provide municipalities with truly practical benefits.
