Manager of the Climate Action Plan for the South Moravian Region

The South Moravian Region has a clear goal – to adapt to climate change and become a carbon-neutral region by 2050. To make this plan a reality, we are seeking a colleague who has a comprehensive understanding of climate change issues, is familiar with best practices, and can effectively translate scientific knowledge into practical steps. You will work with agency teams, experts from the Regional Office, academia, and local governments. You will also become part of the South Moravian Region Climate Council, which brings together key players influencing adaptation and emission reduction.We are seeking someone who can combine professional expertise with the ability to drive progress—so that the South Moravian Region Climate Action Plan is not just a document, but a living tool for change.

What you will be responsible for

  • conceptual management of activities related to the implementation of the CAP
  • support for the Climate Council and its working groups
  • coordination of expert opinions on issues being addressed
  • expert support for related project activities
  • until March 2026, temporary administrative support related to the launch of the Climate Council and related projects

What we need from you

  • education in a field focused on climate, landscape, environment, urban planning, agriculture, or adequate work experience
  • knowledge in the areas of climate protection and climate change adaptation policies
  • knowledge of relevant legislation and the ability to work with it in practice
  • excellent presentation and negotiation skills, ability to write clear statements
  • knowledge of the South Moravian Region

  • independence, reliability, and teamwork
  • ability to build partnerships across public administration, academia, and business
  • flexibility and a high degree of self-management

What will really impress us

  • experience in regional/municipal climate or energy (SEAP/SECAP, adaptation strategies, etc.)
  • experience in creating methodologies, action plans, and reporting (indicators, monitoring)
  • basic orientation in data and visualizations (e.g., for communication with municipalities and the public)
